Battery regeneration: what happens to the battery and what can be done?
The lead-acid batteries suffer mainly, among other defects, sulfation. This occurs when the battery is completely discharged and returns to normal when you reload. However, as the processes of nature are not 100% efficient, a part of sulfate is attached to the plates and makes the total capacity of the battery is affected, making you eat more to charge the battery and causing high temperatures to the battery (effect that causes decreased life). This is a result of charging technology not being 100% efficient.

Battery regeneration process: detailed overview
1) Reduced capacity due to sulphation or annual maintenance
When the capacity of a battery is reduced, this is probably due to sulphate crystals that have gradually built up on the electrodes, preventing the battery from effectively delivering current – these crystals in effect suffocate the battery. This lead sulphate increases the internal resistance and decreases the electrolyte density. The process of sulphation build-up is unavoidable. Worse yet, after 3-4 years the process accelerates substantially (thus the rapid fall at this age in your battery's productivity). If your battery suffers from this type of sulphation, then our battery regenerator will be very effective.

2) Cleaning + Analysis + repair of battery
Prior to the regeneration process it is very important to make sure that the battery, battery connections and battery box are free of defects. We also need to make sure that the battery surface is neutralised so that sulphation build-up on the connectors doesn’t affecting the battery performance. An untreated battery surface may cause leak currents which will have a bad effect on the battery life.
When all connections have been checked and the surface has been treated we can continue with the regeneration process itself.
3) Battery regeneration with Energic plus
The regenerator runs 2 cycles (charging, equalizing and discharging) on the battery, during this process lead sulphate is removed by the electrical high-frequency pulsation process of the battery regenerator. This has the following results:

When should Regeneration be done?
Batteries can be regenerated at any time. The most common time is when the battery has lost 30-40% of its capacity. Then it is usually possible to recover it completely. Can I get renewal and sulfate reduction with a special liquid?
