We purchased our battery regenerator about five years ago. We now use it every single day to bring used batteries back to life.
In the beginning, we only used it to regenerate batteries for the vehicles in our rental fleet. As we gained experience, we decided to offer the same service to our customers — with excellent results! We have customers coming back every year or two to regenerate their batteries. It really makes them happy when their batteries work for much longer than they expected.
So far in 2019, we have regenerated 110 batteries and gained a lot of insight. Interested in figures? Here are a couple of examples:
Example 1
Average 24 V, 345 Ah battery. Before battery regeneration: 157 Ah (4:18 hours) or 47% of capacity remaining. After regeneration: 208 Ah (5:36 hours) or 62% of capacity remaining. This means that after 50 regenerations, this process saved 2500 Ah of 24 V batteries. That equates to seven 24 V, 345 Ah batteries — a saving of 11,000 euros!
Example 2
Average 48 V, 620 Ah battery. Before regeneration: 424 Ah (6:09 hours) or 67% of capacity remaining. After regeneration: 486 Ah (7:00 hours) or 77% of capacity remaining. This means that after 50 regenerations, this process saved 3100 Ah of 48 V batteries. That equates to five 48 V, 620 Ah batteries — a saving of 15,000 euros!
So you see, we saved approximately 20,000 euros in 2019!
And that doesn’t even take into account how much waste and pollution we prevented by not throwing out used batteries.
